FSDPA needed a flexible ticket registration experience for its conferences and educational workshops, allowing attendees to select the appropriate registration options directly through the website.
We developed a custom WooCommerce-powered ticket registration interface that organizes conference tickets, workshops and registration options into a structured and easy-to-use system.
The registration page allows users to view ticket categories, ticket types, available quantities and prices before proceeding with their registration.
The registration requirements were more complex than a standard WooCommerce product purchase.
Different conference tickets and workshops had specific relationships and conditions. For example, the FSDPA registration system requires General Sessions registration before users can register for certain workshops.
The system therefore needed to handle parent-child relationships between registration options while providing users with a simple interface for selecting tickets.
We developed a custom shortcode specifically for the FSDPA ticket registration workflow.
The shortcode dynamically organizes the available registration options and integrates them with WooCommerce, allowing ticket quantities and prices to be handled through the existing eCommerce system.
Custom conditional logic was implemented to manage the relationship between parent and child registration options. This allows dependent tickets, such as workshops, to follow the required registration rules instead of behaving like completely independent products.
